Tod Hanson - Exploring cosmic orbits and gravity fields
In partnership with the North Pennines Observatory @Allenheads Contemporary Arts and Drawing NE
During this drawing workshop Tod worked with year 12 from Queen Elizabeth High School, Hexham and got them to work collaboratively on a large scale drawing under ultraviolet light.
The students explored ideas about cosmic orbits and gravity fields, using french curves and luminous pens which produced dynamic and exciting results.
'Thank you all for hosting a great day at Allenheads. The chat on the bus and the discussion of what students got from the day was superb and demonstrated that this was the perfect input in this stage of the student's journey. Todd was an excellent workshop leader and the project was planned perfectly, but also allowed so much freedom of thought'. William Pym Art teacher.
