Towards Polaria: During Year of the 2000, Artist Bruce Gilchrist and Jo Joelson came to Allenheads to develop a project which synthesised daylight. Using a spectroradiometer and a range of biomonitors they recorded the body's physiological responses to natural daylight then returned to the studio at the old schoolhouse to recreate the daylight conditions in studio.
