After being officially introduced to the fantastic, high tech observatory at ACA I decided to construct an alternative, in an attempt to restore some of the wonder beyond all the answers. Based loosely on space capsule prototypes and a UFO I once saw, my diminutive observatory removes all control from the viewer. Once complete, it’s rudimentary construction will drift on the water whilst a porthole arbitrarily frames stars, constellations, planets and so on. No telescope, no computer, only the human eye and the night sky.
